SO, finals are finally over! (See what I did there?) Unfortunately I fell behind on CtC posts the last two days because I was so busy, I hope you understand! But to make up for it, I have gotten my hands on what might be the Christmas gift of the year – the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette! I missed the first release earlier in the year, so I’m so excited I was able to obtain the eyeshadow palette this time around. (I got it for my birthday, which is on the 24th!) Plus, the promotional video was SO adorable! (And maybe a bit cheesy – but that’s why I love it!)
If you’re shopping for the makeup-obsessed – whether it be your sister, best friend, or your mom – you can’t go wrong with Too Faced, even if you don’t have a clue in the world about makeup. They’re cruelty-free, make fantastic products, and their palettes and bronzers smell SO good! (Seriously, who doesn’t like chocolate? Well, unless you’re allergic…) I don’t have a single Too Faced product that I don’t love, and the Sweet Peach Palette is no exception.
First off the bat is the packaging! I thought the Chocolate Bar palettes were cute, but this is just absolutely adorable! My favorite part is the peach-pink gradient on the packaging. I also like the fact that it’s a metal tin, like the Chocolate Bars, and not cardboard-like, like the holiday palettes usually are. This makes it much easier to clean and store. (Plus the magnetic closure isn’t bad either!
The tin has a little mirror on the inside, which I love because I don’t have to hold a separate compact while I do my eyeshadow. The colors are also gorgeous, with 11 glitter and shimmer shades, and 7 matte shades. And the bonus? It smells like peaches, and it is absolutely amazing.
I really love how even the brown shades still have peach undertones to them! My favorite shade are Super Yum, Luscious, Nectar, and Candied Peach. I’m not sure if you can tell, but Candied Peach actually has some glitter in it! I also love Talk Derby To Me, even though I don’t use it often.
As you can see, there’s a lot of soft shades in this palette, but there’s also a good selection of darker shades too. The dark ones were hard to swatch with my finger though, as you can see they were pretty messy, haha! Tempting is very pigmented, but it’s also a glitter shade, so it could make a really cute overlay for eyeliner, or a dramatic cut crease! In fact, I’m pretty impressed with how pigmented all the shimmer shades are!
Like the other palettes, this one came with a style guide as well! Southern Belle is much too dark a look for me, but I’m dying to try out Smoldering Peach! Peaches and cream also looks like a great daytime look.
Of course, my favorite part of the style guide is always the little letter they include. I love the adorable quote it includes, because it sounds like something my great-grandmother would say. <3
Congrats! All your last minute shopping stress has been solved! 😉 Well maybe not, but can you really go wrong with something that smells so good? (The answer is no, by the way.) If you snagged any of the Sweet Peach Products, what did you get? If not, what are you hoping that Santa brings you?
Warm wishes, and 4 days until Christmas!
